Costituite da due dischi neri con righe trasparenti (colorate oppure no) e da una fonte di luce.
La rotazione dei dischi genera una varietà di curve che si strutturano in immagini dinamiche per l’interazione di alcune variabili:
– velocità di rotazione assoluta dei dischi
– velocità di rotazione relativa dei dischi tra loro
– quantità e disposizione delle forme trasparenti
– senso di rotazione dei dischi (omorotante o controrotante).
Sono opere interattive che richiedono partecipazione e manipolazione.
Quelle di grandi dimensioni sono programmate elettronicamente.

Works that pursue research into retinal persistence.
Consisting of two black discs with transparent stripes (coloured or otherwise) and a light source.
When they rotate, the discs generate a variety of curves that are structured into dynamic images via the interaction of certain variables:
– absolute disc rotation speed
– relative disc rotation speed between the discs
– quantity and arrangement of transparent shapes
– disc rotation direction (homo-rotating or counter-rotating).
Interactive works, they require user participation and manipulation.
Larger versions are electronically-programmed.
